EnquireLow EC (Electrical Conductivity < 0.5 mS/cm) cocopeat is washed repeatedly with clean fresh water to remove naturally occurring salts and potassium sodium chlorides. It is safe for all tender seedlings, vegetables, and flowers. High EC cocopeat is unwashed and generally only suitable for animal bedding or non-sensitive hardy landscaping.
Place the 5kg block in a large tub or clean wheelbarrow. Slowly pour 22 to 25 liters of water over the block. Within 15–20 minutes, the block will absorb the water and expand up to 75 liters of soft, fluffy growing medium. Fluff it gently with your hands and it is ready to use!
For general home gardens and terrace pots, the ideal potting mix ratio is: 40% SBL Cocopeat + 30% Garden Soil / Red Soil + 30% Organic Vermicompost. Add 5% perlite or neem cake for enhanced root protection and drainage.
